Description:
The Full-time HR Specialist will work closely with the HR Manager
to effectively support HR functions including but not limited to:
recruitment, on-boarding, paperwork and data entry, training, HRIS,
employment laws, benefits, policies & procedures, employee
relations, and DOT requirements as it pertains to HR.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurate and timely data entry of all new
hires, transfers, benefits, separations, E-Verify, and background
checks. Troubleshoot any paperwork irregularities and address them
as needed.
- Create job openings, post jobs, and manager applicant flow
using Taleo (applicant tracking system).
- Monitor and track employee training attendance. Coordinate
training and participate as necessary.
- Manage employee files, HR files and forms, and maintain
confidentiality of all records and issues.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment when handling
employee and management issues and have foresight to alert Manager
when necessary.
- Develop relationships and work closely with management to
ensure that HR processes are being followed and direct them as
needed.
- Help develop and execute employee recognition programs.
Understand employee housing process, represent HR in
Housing/Security meetings. Provide housing statistics and updates
on any incidents to Sr. HR Manager.
- Coordinate, design and create quarterly employee newsletters
with EC teams input.
- Provide exceptional guest service to applicants, employees, and
management and assist with any questions or issues.
- Understand benefit programs and communicate accurate
information to employees.
- Assist with daily tasks and special projects, workers
compensation, safety meetings and unemployment claims.
- Must be willing to travel to other office locations as
necessary. (Mostly Edwards and DIA)
- Manage HR office in absence of HR Manager. Use discretion and
independent judgment to discern issues that require the immediate
attention of the General Manager or can be held for the Sr. HR
Manager's return.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- College Degree or Equivalent HR Experience
- 1 year HR experience required, strong computer skills, must be
proficient in Microsoft office.
- HRIS experience required Peoplesoft, Success factors and Taleo
experience preferred.
- Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, accuracy
and timeliness are all required.
- Must be able to work with confidential information and maintain
confidentiality.
- Flexible schedule required during ramp up of season. Use of
independent judgment and discretion highly important to overall
success of position.
